This notice explains what personal information Pro Remapping collects when you use proremapping.com or use our services, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. We are the “data controller” for that information, which means we decide how and why it is used.

How to contact us

If you have a question about this notice, or you want to exercise any of the rights described below, contact us:

The information we collect

When you send an enquiry

If you use the contact form we collect your name, email address, postcode, phone number and your message. The form sends your enquiry to us, and a copy may be kept securely in the website so that none is lost.

When you ask for a call back

The call-back button asks for your phone number, and your name if you choose to give it, so that we can ring you.

When you call, email or message us on WhatsApp

We keep that conversation so we can reply and refer back to it. If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp (part of Meta) also processes that message under its own privacy policy.

When we carry out work

We work at our garage and as a mobile service. To carry out work on your vehicle we record your name, contact details, the address where we meet you if we come to you, your vehicle’s registration and details, the work we carry out and the invoice. We need this to do the job, to deal with any follow-up and to keep the business records the law requires.

When you browse the site

With your consent, we use Google Analytics (measurement ID G-XBRKTJN8P2 and G-9GS2DVX8N0) to understand how people find and use the site — which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are, and what device they use. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do this. These cookies are not set unless you accept them, and you can change your mind at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Declining does not affect your ability to use the site.

With your separate consent to marketing cookies, we use Google Ads conversion measurement to understand whether our adverts lead to enquiries. Our web host, GoDaddy, also provides performance monitoring that sets cookies; we only allow it if you accept analytics cookies. Videos on our site are provided by YouTube. The background video at the top of our home page is loaded from YouTube when that page opens, so YouTube may set its own cookies at that point; any other embedded videos only load if you allow them. The remap calculator on our home page is provided by Tuning Company and loads from its servers, which receive your IP address in the same way as any website you visit. The customer reviews on our home page are shown using Trustindex, which loads the reviews and reviewers’ profile pictures from its own and Google’s servers.

The site uses Google Fonts to display text. When a page loads, your browser requests the fonts from Google, which receives your IP address. Google Fonts does not set cookies.

Our hosting and security systems also keep standard server logs, including IP addresses, which help us keep the site available and protect it from abuse. We keep a record of the cookie choice you make (a random ID, your choices and the date — not your IP address) for up to two years, so that we can show we asked for your consent.

Why we are allowed to use your information

UK data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for using your information. Ours are:

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. We do share it with the suppliers who help us run the business:

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

Sending information outside the UK

Some of the suppliers above, including Google, may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by safeguards approved for use in the UK, such as the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or a data bridge (adequacy) decision.

How long we keep it

Your rights

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK’s data protection regulator:

Cookies

Our Cookie Policy lists each cookie this site uses. You can change your choices at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
