What is an AdBlue repair?

AdBlue repair means finding and fixing the component causing your warning — not just clearing the code and hoping it stays away. Whether it’s a failed NOx sensor, a blocked AdBlue injector, a faulty dosing pump or an SCR fault (codes like P20EE, P204F, P20E8 or the Peugeot-specific U029D), we identify the root cause and repair it. The result: warnings cleared, vehicle road-legal and ready to pass an MOT.

What we do

Diagnose. Repair. Confirm.

We read all SCR and NOx fault data, trace the fault to its source, repair or replace the failing component, and confirm the system works correctly before you collect.

No guessing. No clearing codes and hoping — the fault gets fixed.

Road-legal & MOT-ready

Keeps you within the law

A repair restores the SCR system to correct working order, so your vehicle stays road-legal and is ready to pass an MOT.

How the repair service works

Clear steps, no surprises, at our Hanley workshop.

  • We run a full diagnostic scan. We read all SCR and NOx fault codes and map out exactly what the system is reporting before touching anything.
  • We trace the root cause. Fault codes point to a system, not always a specific part. We test components individually to find what has actually failed.
  • We carry out the repair. Whether it’s a NOx sensor, dosing module, pump, injector or level sensor, we fit the correct part and repair it properly.
  • We clear all fault codes. Once the repair is complete, all related codes are cleared and the system is tested to confirm it’s operating correctly.
  • We confirm road-ready. The vehicle is started and driven where possible, and we verify the AdBlue warning has gone and the system is healthy before handover.

Road-legal and MOT-ready. An AdBlue repair restores the SCR system to correct working order, keeping your vehicle within UK emissions law. If you need to pass an MOT, use the vehicle commercially, or want a lasting fix that meets road regulations, repair is the right route.

Repair, delete or removal?

Pick the route that matches your vehicle and how you use it.

AdBlue repair

The road-legal, MOT-ready route — we fix the faulty component so the system works as intended. Right for any vehicle used on the road.

AdBlue delete

Software-only removal of AdBlue/SCR logic from the ECU to stop warnings. For off-road and motorsport use only.

AdBlue removal

Full removal of the AdBlue hardware plus the ECU delete, for off-road, agricultural or export vehicles.

Common AdBlue repairs we carry out

The most frequent faults we see, and what the fix involves.

NOx sensor replacement

Upstream or downstream NOx sensors fail regularly on high-mileage diesels — codes P20EE, P20E8 and P204F are typical. We fit the correct sensor and clear all related codes.

AdBlue pump & injector

A blocked or failed injector stops the SCR system dosing correctly and triggers persistent warnings. We diagnose whether it’s the pump, injector or supply line and carry out the right repair.

AdBlue dosing module

The dosing control module regulates how much AdBlue is injected. When it fails, warnings won’t clear even after a new sensor. We test and replace where needed.

SCR catalyst diagnosis

An ageing or contaminated SCR catalyst can report poor NOx conversion. We run efficiency tests before recommending replacement — it’s often not the catalyst at fault.

AdBlue tank & level sensor

Level sensor faults cause false low-AdBlue warnings even with a full tank. Tank cracks or contamination can also stop the system working. We check both.

Full SCR system health check

Not sure what’s wrong? We run a full AdBlue and SCR diagnostic — live data, component tests and a clear picture of what needs fixing and what doesn’t.

Why drivers choose Pro Remapping

Practical reasons drivers choose us for AdBlue repair.

Root cause, not code clears

We find and fix what’s actually failing. Simply clearing the code and resetting the warning isn’t a repair — the light comes back. We fix it properly.

Honest diagnostics

Fault codes point to a system, not a part. We test before we replace, so you don’t pay for parts you don’t need.

Proven track record

1,000+ vehicles fixed and 100+ five-star Google reviews across Ford, VW, Mercedes, Vauxhall, BMW, Audi and more.

AdBlue repair — common questions

Quick answers before you book.

Is an AdBlue repair legal for UK road use?

Yes — fully. A repair restores the SCR system to correct working order, keeping your vehicle within UK emissions regulations. A properly repaired AdBlue system will pass an MOT. It is the road-legal route for vehicles that stay in daily use on public roads.

What’s the difference between AdBlue repair and a delete?

Repair fixes the failing component so the AdBlue system works correctly again — road-legal and MOT-ready. A delete removes the AdBlue logic from the ECU and is for off-road use only. We’ll talk you through which suits your situation honestly.

What AdBlue faults do you repair?

NOx sensors, AdBlue pumps and injectors, dosing modules, SCR catalyst issues, AdBlue tanks and level sensors, and more — on codes such as P20EE, P204F, P20E8 and the Peugeot U029D. We diagnose first, then fix the actual cause.

How much does an AdBlue repair cost?

It depends on the fault and the parts needed, so we give you a clear quote after diagnosis — no surprises. Call or message us with your make, model, year and the warning you’re seeing.

What makes and models do you work on?

A wide range of diesel cars and vans including Ford Transit, VW Crafter, Mercedes Sprinter, Vauxhall Vivaro, BMW, Audi, Peugeot, Citroën, Renault and Nissan. If you’re unsure, get in touch with your details.

Will my vehicle pass an MOT after the repair?

In most cases, yes — provided the repair has resolved the underlying fault and the SCR system is operating correctly. We confirm everything is working before we consider the job complete.
