Stage 1 remap

Ford

The Fords we see most

Most of our Ford work is on diesel vans and pickups, but we remap and diagnose Ford cars too.

Transit

Remaps for loaded work and towing, plus the AdBlue, turbo and limp-mode faults Transits are known for.

Transit Custom

One of the most popular vans to remap. EcoBlue Customs respond well to a Stage 1 map focused on torque, not just peak power.

Ranger

Ranger pickups: remaps for towing and load, plus DPF, EGR and AdBlue diagnostics.

Ford cars

Focus, Kuga, Mondeo and other Ford petrol and diesel cars: Stage 1 remaps, diagnostics and servicing.

Ford EcoBlue

Ford EcoBlue and the SID212EVO ECU

Most newer Transit and Transit Custom vans use Ford’s 2.0 EcoBlue diesel, run by a Continental SID212EVO or SID213EVO engine ECU. It controls fuelling, boost, the DPF and the AdBlue (SCR) system, so one fault can show up as several warnings at once.

Before any remap we check the ECU is supported, run a full scan for stored and pending fault codes and save your original file. Our SID212EVO guides explain what we look for.

Ford faults

Ford AdBlue, turbo and power faults

If your Transit says “AdBlue system malfunction” or shows a no-start countdown, topping up rarely fixes it. The usual causes are a failed NOx sensor, pump pressure or dosing problems, a crystallised dosing injector, wiring or connector faults, or an SCR efficiency fault such as P20EE.

We read every stored and pending code and test the system before replacing anything, so the warning stays off once it’s fixed.

Ford remaps

Remapping your Ford

Stage 1 remaps start from £150. On an EcoBlue van the biggest gain is stronger, smoother pulling power when you’re loaded or towing, which means fewer gear changes. We don’t remap a vehicle with live faults: we fix those first.

Fantastic service when carrying out DPF cleaning on my Audi. The team were always on hand via WhatsApp with fantastic communication and they could not do enough for me and my car. I would not go anywhere else and neither should you.

3hrs from first calling Pro Remapping regarding my FPace DPF Filter full (red warning light), and with the vehicle in limp mode I set off to Fenton @ 40mph all the way. Once at the garage the guys diagnosed the fault, put the car on the ramp and got to work. 1.5hrs later the car was on the road, test driven and keys handed back to me. These guys certainly know their stuff. I cannot thank them enough for such a professional quick turnaround service. Also, to add, at a very good cost compared to their competitors! I will be certainly using these guys again should the need arise.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can't see yours? Call 07404 022260.

Can you remap a Transit Custom 2.0 EcoBlue?

Yes. We check your ECU is supported, scan for faults and save the original file before writing a map suited to how you use the van.

My Transit says “AdBlue system malfunction”. Can I keep driving?

For now, but if a countdown appears the van will eventually refuse to restart. Book it in before the counter runs out. A refill alone rarely clears it if a sensor or pump has failed.

Will a remap fix my AdBlue or limp-mode fault?

No. A remap goes on a healthy engine. We diagnose and fix the fault first, then remap if you want one.

Do you come to me?

Stage 1 remaps and diagnostic checks can be done at your home or workplace. Jobs that need a ramp, such as turbo or AdBlue part replacements, are done at our Fenton workshop by appointment.

Can a remap be reversed?

Yes. We back up your original ECU file before making any changes, so the van can be returned to its factory map.
