The Volkswagens we see most
Transporters and Crafters make up most of our VW work, but we remap and diagnose VW cars and pickups too.
Transporter T6 / T6.1
VW sells the T6 in several power outputs from the same 2.0 TDI engine, so lower-output vans have plenty of headroom for a Stage 1 remap.
Crafter
Remaps for loaded work, plus the AdBlue countdowns (P207F and P204F) and misfire codes we’re most often asked about.
Amarok
Amarok pickups: remaps for towing and load, DPF cleaning and EGR and AdBlue diagnostics.
Golf
Golf TDI and GTI remaps, with torque limits set to suit DSG and manual gearboxes.

VW AdBlue countdowns and misfire codes
P207F and P204F are reductant (AdBlue) system codes: the ECU has seen poor dosing results over several drive cycles. They don’t say which part failed, and they can start a no-start countdown that won’t clear after a refill.
We find the cause first, whether that’s AdBlue delivery, a sensor, or the exhaust after-treatment, then check the system is working before the van goes back.

Stage 1 remaps start from £150. On a Transporter or Crafter that means stronger pulling power under load and fewer gear changes; on a Golf, sharper throttle response and stronger overtakes. Faults are fixed before we remap.

3hrs from first calling Pro Remapping regarding my FPace DPF Filter full (red warning light), and with the vehicle in limp mode I set off to Fenton @ 40mph all the way. Once at the garage the guys diagnosed the fault, put the car on the ramp and got to work. 1.5hrs later the car was on the road, test driven and keys handed back to me. These guys certainly know their stuff. I cannot thank them enough for such a professional quick turnaround service. Also, to add, at a very good cost compared to their competitors! Can you remap a T6.1 Transporter?
Yes. The T6 and T6.1 2.0 TDI are some of the most popular vans we remap. We scan for faults and save the original file first.
Why won’t my Crafter’s AdBlue countdown clear after a refill?
Codes like P207F and P204F mean the system isn’t converting NOx as expected over several drives. Fresh AdBlue won’t fix a failed sensor, pump or injector, so the cause needs finding first.
Can you remap a DSG Golf?
Yes. We set torque limits to suit the gearbox, so the DSG copes with the extra torque.
Does a Stage 1 remap affect the DPF or AdBlue system?
No. A Stage 1 remap leaves the DPF and AdBlue systems in place and working.

Stage 1 remaps and diagnostic checks can be done at your home or workplace. Jobs that need a ramp are done at our Fenton workshop by appointment.
